She/Her/Hers

Erin’s Psychotherapy Approach

My highest priority as a therapist is to cultivate a space for you as a client to feel safe, supported, and unconditionally accepted.

My approach is person-centered, first and foremost. I incorporate trauma-informed interventions to focus on the interplay between thought, life, emotions, and behaviors while targeting what solutions are most effective and appropriate for you. I also incorporate mindfulness techniques to ground you both in the here and now of the session.

My specialization and training background is those with co-occurring disorders (substance use disorder and another mental health disorder) and those on the trauma spectrum, but I work with individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds and with various mental health needs.

I know reaching out for help can be intimidating, but it is a vital part of the healing process. I hope to make this experience as productive and profound as possible, with the understanding that change is scary, but opens new pathways to healing.

I am currently licensed to practice psychotherapy for residents of Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland.
