Join us this summer as we host 3 virtual skills workshops – free for our community.
These workshops will teach skills to help manage emotional experiences, improve relationships, and increase the ability to stay in the moment. Each session will pull skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to the targeted audience. Participants will leave the workshop with real life skills to improve their overall well-being.
All workshops are free to attend and will be held via Zoom. Registration is required. Zoom link will be emailed 24 hours prior to each workshop.

If you struggle with losing your temper, having strong reactions, or are desiring to improve your interactions with your child and/or co-parent – this one’s for you! Participants will leave this workshop with basic tools to have a successful relationship with their feelings and with their children and/or co-parent.

Are you a current or prospective college student?
Do you struggle in new social situations, setting priorities, or ideas of success?
Learn skills for managing stress, setting goals, and improving social skills. This workshop is also appropriate for professionals and parents of college students.

The last few years have been a bit much…
For those whose life stressors have increased due to elements out of your control – let’s work on bringing some agency in a world of uncertainty. This workshop will focus on understanding emotions and what they do for us, how to manage our responses to life’s difficulties, and function in distress.
Participants will leave this workshop with an increased understanding of the purposefulness of our emotional responses and how to manage in what seems like an unmanageable world
Emily Wietmarschen, LPC is the Clinical Director of Rock Creek Therapy. Throughout her career she has facilitated hundreds of skills groups for adolescents and adults, with an emphasis on DBT. Her teaching style uses directness, authenticity, and humor to reach individuals of all struggles and backgrounds. Emily enjoys teaching skills that she can personally vouch make a difference in creating real change.
