Join us for a transformative event series dedicated to “Understanding and Coping with Grief and Loss,” led by Karen Buehler, LPC, LCPC, a Certified Grief Educator trained by renowned experts David Kessler and Alan Wolfelt. Through our three workshops, we aim to normalize the experience of mourning, and offer a safe and nurturing space to explore the emotions and challenges that arise in the face of loss.

The Grieving Process

Saturday, November 11, 2023; 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

  • An overview of models around processing grief (i.e., Kubler-Ross/Kessler, etc.) and different types of grief.
  • Understanding your needs while grieving.
  • Participants are provided with a framework for grieving and validation about what they are experiencing.

What’s Helpful and Not Helpful When Dealing with Grief?

Topics covered:

  • Getting through the holidays and anniversaries.
  • Tools and techniques for coping with special occasions.
  • The body/mind/spirit experiences of grief.
  • Ways to support those who are grieving.

Moving through Loss and Finding Acceptance and Meaning

  • Creating new traditions and rituals.
