Assessments are a tool to help bring language to clarify your experience. We use evidence-based tests and information gathering that brings additional perspectives into consideration. In some cases, simply placing a name to what you notice about yourself is relieving. It can also aid your therapist, psychiatrist or general practitioner in how they help you. Each assessment will look different and take different amounts of time for each person, but there are three general goals that need to be accomplished:
- Understand you and your needs to ensure we provide the appropriate assessment
- Perform a clinical interview and necessary tests in one session
- Promptly provide results and discuss recommendations
Depending on your needs, this could be a phone consultation and a single session, or it could be three sessions, with each goal given its own meeting. We will work to be transparent about the process for you to support what you seek to achieve.
